The 21st night marks the beginning of the <strong data-start=\"271\" data-end=\"303\">Last Ashra (last ten nights)<\/strong>\u2014the most sacred portion of the entire month. Within these nights lies a moment so powerful that Allah describes it as <strong data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"455\">better than a thousand months<\/strong>. This blessed night is known as <strong data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"505\">Laylatul Qadr<\/strong> (The Night of Decree \/ Power).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"801\">For Muslims around the world, Laylatul Qadr is not just another night of prayer\u2014it is an opportunity for complete spiritual transformation. Sins are forgiven, destinies are written, and rewards are multiplied beyond human calculation. But a question often arises:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"803\" data-end=\"927\"><strong data-start=\"803\" data-end=\"927\">What exactly is Laylatul Qadr? And why is it hidden within the last ten nights instead of being fixed on one known date?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"1039\">Let us explore this through the Qur\u2019an, Hadith, and the practices of the Sahaba (Companions of the Prophet \ufdfa).<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1044\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"un4l1l\" data-start=\"1046\" data-end=\"1080\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Laylatul_Qadr_in_the_Quran\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1080\">Laylatul Qadr in the Qur\u2019an<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1191\">Laylatul Qadr is so \u0639\u0638\u06cc\u0645 (great) that Allah revealed a complete Surah about it: <strong data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1191\">Surah Al-Qadr (Surah 97).<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1s4ev7s\" data-start=\"1193\" data-end=\"1237\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_The_Night_the_Quran_Was_Revealed\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"1197\" data-end=\"1237\">1. The Night the Qur\u2019an Was Revealed<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1239\" data-end=\"1250\">Allah says:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1335\">\n<p data-start=\"1254\" data-end=\"1335\">\u201cIndeed, We sent the Qur\u2019an down during the Night of Decree.\u201d<br data-start=\"1315\" data-end=\"1318\" \/><em data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1335\">(Qur\u2019an 97:1)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1337\" data-end=\"1551\">This indicates that the initial revelation of the Qur\u2019an from the Preserved Tablet (Lauh al-Mahfuz) to the lowest heaven occurred on Laylatul Qadr. This alone makes the night historically and spiritually unmatched.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1556\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1ockt7p\" data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1598\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Better_Than_a_Thousand_Months\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"1562\" data-end=\"1598\">2. Better Than a Thousand Months<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1611\">Allah says:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1613\" data-end=\"1684\">\n<p data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1684\">\u201cLaylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months.\u201d<br data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1667\" \/><em data-start=\"1669\" data-end=\"1684\">(Qur\u2019an 97:3)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1686\" data-end=\"1888\">A thousand months equals <strong data-start=\"1711\" data-end=\"1736\">83 years and 4 months<\/strong>\u2014longer than the lifetime of most people. Worship done on this single night carries the reward of worship performed continuously for over eight decades.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1890\" data-end=\"2000\">This is Allah\u2019s mercy upon the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad \ufdfa, whose lifespans are shorter than previous nations.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2002\" data-end=\"2005\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"d9j18p\" data-start=\"2007\" data-end=\"2052\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Descent_of_Angels_and_Jibreel_AS\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2011\" data-end=\"2052\">3. Descent of Angels and Jibreel (AS)<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2065\">Allah says:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2067\" data-end=\"2178\">\n<p data-start=\"2069\" data-end=\"2178\">\u201cThe angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.\u201d<br data-start=\"2158\" data-end=\"2161\" \/><em data-start=\"2163\" data-end=\"2178\">(Qur\u2019an 97:4)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2180\" data-end=\"2250\">\u201c<strong data-start=\"2181\" data-end=\"2195\">The Spirit<\/strong>\u201d refers to Angel Jibreel (Gabriel, AS). On this night:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2252\" data-end=\"2388\">\n<li data-section-id=\"7qasw3\" data-start=\"2252\" data-end=\"2286\">\n<p data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2286\">Angels descend in vast numbers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"x0b551\" data-start=\"2287\" data-end=\"2336\">\n<p data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2336\">They carry divine decrees for the coming year<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"zdve9a\" data-start=\"2337\" data-end=\"2388\">\n<p data-start=\"2339\" data-end=\"2388\">They spread peace and blessings among worshippers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2390\" data-end=\"2393\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"k5akek\" data-start=\"2395\" data-end=\"2433\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_A_Night_of_Peace_Until_Dawn\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2399\" data-end=\"2433\">4. A Night of Peace Until Dawn<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2435\" data-end=\"2451\">Allah concludes:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2453\" data-end=\"2517\">\n<p data-start=\"2455\" data-end=\"2517\">\u201cPeace it is until the emergence of dawn.\u201d<br data-start=\"2497\" data-end=\"2500\" \/><em data-start=\"2502\" data-end=\"2517\">(Qur\u2019an 97:5)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2519\" data-end=\"2619\">From sunset to Fajr, the night is filled with <strong data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2618\">tranquility, mercy, forgiveness, and divine peace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2621\" data-end=\"2624\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"mw35u0\" data-start=\"2626\" data-end=\"2656\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Laylatul_Qadr_in_Hadith\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2629\" data-end=\"2656\">Laylatul Qadr in Hadith<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2746\">The Prophet Muhammad \ufdfa emphasized seeking this night, especially in the last ten nights.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2748\" data-end=\"2751\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"pmrw1k\" data-start=\"2753\" data-end=\"2794\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Seek_It_in_the_Last_Ten_Nights\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2757\" data-end=\"2794\">1. Seek It in the Last Ten Nights<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2796\" data-end=\"2815\">The Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2817\" data-end=\"2913\">\n<p data-start=\"2819\" data-end=\"2913\">\u201cSeek Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan.\u201d<br data-start=\"2874\" data-end=\"2877\" \/><em data-start=\"2879\" data-end=\"2913\">(Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2915\" data-end=\"2988\">This clearly establishes that the night is hidden within the final Ashra.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2990\" data-end=\"2993\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1exvkts\" data-start=\"2995\" data-end=\"3031\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_More_Likely_on_Odd_Nights\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2999\" data-end=\"3031\">2. More Likely on Odd Nights<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3033\" data-end=\"3058\">Another narration states:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"3060\" data-end=\"3129\">\n<p data-start=\"3062\" data-end=\"3129\">\u201cSeek it in the odd nights of the last ten nights.\u201d<br data-start=\"3113\" data-end=\"3116\" \/><em data-start=\"3118\" data-end=\"3129\">(Bukhari)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"3131\" data-end=\"3148\">These nights are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3150\" data-end=\"3192\">\n<li data-section-id=\"fjn8lo\" data-start=\"3150\" data-end=\"3158\">\n<p data-start=\"3152\" data-end=\"3158\">21st<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fl1q67\" data-start=\"3159\" data-end=\"3167\">\n<p data-start=\"3161\" data-end=\"3167\">23rd<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fmhqb7\" data-start=\"3168\" data-end=\"3176\">\n<p data-start=\"3170\" data-end=\"3176\">25th<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fnthip\" data-start=\"3177\" data-end=\"3185\">\n<p data-start=\"3179\" data-end=\"3185\">27th<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1j2bvjz\" data-start=\"3186\" data-end=\"3192\">\n<p data-start=\"3188\" data-end=\"3192\">29th<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3194\" data-end=\"3274\">While many believe the 27th is most likely, no date is confirmed with certainty.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"3276\" data-end=\"3279\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"149wnvi\" data-start=\"3281\" data-end=\"3326\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Reward_of_Worship_on_Laylatul_Qadr\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"3285\" data-end=\"3326\">3.
