    بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

     

    لِمِثۡلِ هَٰذَا فَلۡيَعۡمَلِ ٱلۡعَٰمِلُونَ

    Hiervoor werken degenen die succes willen."
    View Tafseer

    أَذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٞ نُّزُلًا أَمۡ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ

    Is dat een beter vermaak of de Zaqqoemboom (die groeit in de Hel)?
    View Tafseer

    إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰهَا فِتۡنَةٗ لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

    Waarlijk, Wij hebben het als een beproeving voor de onrechtvaardigen gemaakt.
    View Tafseer

    إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٞ تَخۡرُجُ فِيٓ أَصۡلِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    Waarlijk, het is een boom die wortelt in de bodem van het hellevuur.

    طَلۡعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ

    De uitgroeisels ervan (gelijkend op die van palmbomen) zijn zoals (lelijke) duivelskoppen.

    فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَأٓكِلُونَ مِنۡهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ

    Waarlijk, zij zullen daarvan eten en hun buiken ermee vullen.

    ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا لَشَوۡبٗا مِّنۡ حَمِيمٖ

    Bovendien zullen zij kokend water te drinken krijgen, zodat het een mengsel wordt.

    ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرۡجِعَهُمۡ لَإِلَى ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    Dan daarna, waarlijk zullen zij naar het laaiende vuur van de hel terugkeren.

    إِنَّهُمۡ أَلۡفَوۡاْ ءَابَآءَهُمۡ ضَآلِّينَ

    Waarlijk, zij vonden hun vaders op het verkeerde pad;

    فَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمۡ يُهۡرَعُونَ

    Dus haasten zij zich (ook) in hun voetstappen!
