"Allah sets out an example to the infidels [34] of the wife of Nuh and the wife [35] of Lut. They were both under two of Our righteous devotees, but they (the wives) betrayed [36] them. But nothing helped them against Allah, and it was said: 'Enter both the fire [37] with those who enter it.'"
🔸 The examples of the wife of Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) and the wife of Hazrat Lut (peace be upon him) are used to show the consequences of betrayal and infidelity, even when one is in the company of righteous and devoted believers.
🔸 Despite being married to prophets, these women betrayed their husbands and did not remain faithful to the path of Allah.
🔸 The verse serves as a warning that proximity to the righteous does not guarantee salvation unless there is faith and loyalty to Allah.
🔸 The wife of Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) was named Wa'la or Waliah, while the wife of Hazrat Lut (peace be upon him) was named Wahila.
🔸 These names highlight the significance of their betrayal, despite their positions within the household of two of Allah's chosen messengers.
🔸 Among the female infidels, Waliah was known for calling Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) mad and for acting as a spy for the infidels.
🔸 It's important to note that no prophet's wife has ever been guilty of adultery. Their betrayal, in this case, refers to their disbelief and unfaithfulness, which ultimately led them to face the punishment of Allah.
🔸 This verse teaches that without faith, even the company of the pious will not prove beneficial.
🔸 Despite being in the company of righteous husbands, both women failed to embrace faith and were punished for their disobedience.
🔸 Additionally, the son of Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) remained an infidel despite being in his father’s household.
🔸 The verse reminds us that blood ties or familial relationships will not guarantee salvation unless there is faith.
🔸 On the Day of Judgement, every person will be with those whom they loved and followed in this world.
