Surah Under Will those deities remove the harm inflicted by Him Category

وَلَٮِٕنۡ سَاَلۡتَهُمۡ مَّنۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ لَيَقُوۡلُنَّ اللّٰهُ‌ ؕ قُلۡ اَفَرَءَيۡتُمۡ مَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ اِنۡ اَرَادَنِىَ اللّٰهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلۡ هُنَّ كٰشِفٰتُ ضُرِّهٖۤ اَوۡ اَرَادَنِىۡ بِرَحۡمَةٍ هَلۡ هُنَّ مُمۡسِكٰتُ رَحۡمَتِهٖ‌ؕ قُلۡ حَسۡبِىَ اللّٰهُ‌ؕ عَلَيۡهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الۡمُتَوَكِّلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۳۸﴾


If you ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth? they will surely answer: Allah. Tell them: What do you think, then, of the deities whom you call upon instead of Allah? If Allah should will that an affliction befall me, will those deities remove the harm inflicted by Him? Or if Allah should will that I receive (His) Mercy, will they be able to withhold His Mercy from me? Say: Allah is sufficient for me; those who have to put their trust, let them put their trust in Him.


Surah Name : Az-Zumar   Surah Number : 39   Ayat Number: 38

وَيَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَنۡفَعُهُمۡ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمۡ‌ؕ وَكَانَ الۡـكَافِرُ عَلٰى رَبِّهٖ ظَهِيۡرًا‏ ﴿۵۵﴾


And yet people worship deities other than Allah that can neither benefit them nor hurt them. Besides, the unbeliever is ever prone to come to the support of everyone who rebels against his Lord.
