Quran Ayat (Verses) regarding Respect

يَسۡتَفۡتُونَكَ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُفۡتِيكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡكَلَٰلَةِۚ إِنِ ٱمۡرُؤٌاْ هَلَكَ لَيۡسَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٞ وَلَهُۥٓ أُخۡتٞ فَلَهَا نِصۡفُ مَا تَرَكَۚ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمۡ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٞۚ فَإِن كَانَتَا ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ فَلَهُمَا ٱلثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَۚ وَإِن كَانُوٓاْ إِخۡوَةٗ رِّجَالٗا وَنِسَآءٗ فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثۡلُ حَظِّ ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِۗ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ أَن تَضِلُّواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمُۢ

176. (O Beloved Prophet Muhammad) They request from you a decree (496). Say: Allah decrees to you in respect of a person who leaves (497), neither father nor child, that if a man dies and has no child but (only) a sister, she will have half of what he left. And the man will be the heir of his sister, if the sister (498), has no child. But, if there are two sisters, they will have two-thirds (499), of what he left. If there are brothers and sisters, males and females (500), then the share of the male is equal to the shares of two women (501). Allah explains to you clearly so that you may not go astray (502). And Allah knows everything.

وَكَانَ لَهُۥ ثَمَرٞ فَقَالَ لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَنَا۠ أَكۡثَرُ مِنكَ مَالٗا وَأَعَزُّ نَفَرٗا

34. And he had fruits, (82), then he said to his companion. And he used to argue (83), with him; I have greater wealth then you and am stronger (84) in respect of men.'

وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهۡتَدَوۡاْ هُدٗىۗ وَٱلۡبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتُ خَيۡرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٞ مَّرَدًّا

76. And those who got guidance, Allah will increase them in guidance (135). And the abiding good things are excellent with your Lord in respect of reward (136) and in respect of return (137).

فَلَمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُمَا صَٰلِحٗا جَعَلَا لَهُۥ شُرَكَآءَ فِيمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمَاۚ فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ

190.Then when He gave them a befitting child, they associated with Him associates (442) in respect of what He bestows upon them. But Allah is exalted above their polytheism (443).

وَإِذۡ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِيٓ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِ وَأَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِ أَمۡسِكۡ عَلَيۡكَ زَوۡجَكَ وَٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ وَتُخۡفِي فِي نَفۡسِكَ مَا ٱللَّهُ مُبۡدِيهِ وَتَخۡشَى ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخۡشَىٰهُۖ فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ زَيۡدٞ مِّنۡهَا وَطَرٗا زَوَّجۡنَٰكَهَا لِكَيۡ لَا يَكُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ حَرَجٞ فِيٓ أَزۡوَٰجِ أَدۡعِيَآئِهِمۡ إِذَا قَضَوۡاْ مِنۡهُنَّ وَطَرٗاۚ وَكَانَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ مَفۡعُولٗا

37.And O Beloved! Remember when you did say to him upon whom Allah bestowed a favour (97), and you had bestowed (98) a favour, keep your wife with yourself (99) and fear Allah (100). And you had in your heart what Allah willed to disclose (101), and you were afraid of the people's taunting (102) remarks. And Allah has the greater right that you should fear Him (103). But when Zaid severed relations with her, and gave her in marriage (104) to you, so that there should be no difficulty upon the believers in respect of the wives of their adopted sons. When they have accomplished their purpose with them. And Allah's order is bound to be fulfilled (105).

لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡهِنَّ فِيٓ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ وَلَآ أَبۡنَآئِهِنَّ وَلَآ إِخۡوَٰنِهِنَّ وَلَآ أَبۡنَآءِ إِخۡوَٰنِهِنَّ وَلَآ أَبۡنَآءِ أَخَوَٰتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَآئِهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُنَّۗ وَٱتَّقِينَ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدًا

55.There is neither any harm for them in respect of their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons (161), or the women (162) of their own faith or their maids (163) (slave women.) And remain fearing Allah. Undoubtedly, everything is in the sight of Allah.

وَلَا يَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَبۡخَلُونَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ هُوَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۖ بَلۡ هُوَ شَرّٞ لَّهُمۡۖ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِۦ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَٰثُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ

180. And let not those who are niggardly (408) in respect of what Allah has given them out of His Bounty (409) think that it is good for them. On the contrary, it is bad for them. Soon that for which they had been niggardly, shall be their necklace on the Day of Resurrection(410). And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is aware of your doings (411).

۞وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّـٰتٖ مَّعۡرُوشَٰتٖ وَغَيۡرَ مَعۡرُوشَٰتٖ وَٱلنَّخۡلَ وَٱلزَّرۡعَ مُخۡتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّيۡتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَٰبِهٗا وَغَيۡرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٖۚ كُلُواْ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثۡمَرَ وَءَاتُواْ حَقَّهُۥ يَوۡمَ حَصَادِهِۦۖ وَلَا تُسۡرِفُوٓاْۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

141. And it is He Who has produced gardens (315), with creepers intercrossing, trimmed and untrimmed, and date palms and crops, which are various kinds of food and olives and pomegranates some respects similar in some respects and dissimilar in other respects. Eat of their fruits (316), when such fruit are plucked, and pay their dues on the day of harvesting (317). And spend not wastefully. Surely, those who spend wastefully are not liked by Him (318).

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مِنۡهُ خَضِرٗا نُّخۡرِجُ مِنۡهُ حَبّٗا مُّتَرَاكِبٗا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّخۡلِ مِن طَلۡعِهَا قِنۡوَانٞ دَانِيَةٞ وَجَنَّـٰتٖ مِّنۡ أَعۡنَابٖ وَٱلزَّيۡتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُشۡتَبِهٗا وَغَيۡرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍۗ ٱنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثۡمَرَ وَيَنۡعِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكُمۡ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

99. And it is He Who has sent down water from the heavens (214). Then We brought forth everything of growth (215), and out of it, We brought forth the green (foliage) from which We bring forth clustered grains and out of the sheaths of the palms, the bunches closer to one another (216), And gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranate (217), similar in some respects and different in some other respects (218). Look at it when it bears fruit and it's ripening. Undoubtedly, there are signs in it for the persons who believe (219).

وَمَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦٓ إِذۡ قَالُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٖ مِّن شَيۡءٖۗ قُلۡ مَنۡ أَنزَلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِي جَآءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورٗا وَهُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِۖ تَجۡعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبۡدُونَهَا وَتُخۡفُونَ كَثِيرٗاۖ وَعُلِّمۡتُم مَّا لَمۡ تَعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنتُمۡ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمۡۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۖ ثُمَّ ذَرۡهُمۡ فِي خَوۡضِهِمۡ يَلۡعَبُونَ

91. And they (Jews) could not visualise the respect of Allah as such respect, which was necessary to be visualised. Then they said: "Allah had not revealed anything on any man" (184). Please declare (to the Jews): "Who has sent down the Book which was brought by Musa (185), a light and the guidance to the people (186), of which you have made separate papers (187), to show and much of it you have concealed (188)? And you are taught that which you knew not, nor your fathers (189)" Please proclaim: "Allah" (190). Then leave them to amuse themselves in their absurdity (191).

وَحَآجَّهُۥ قَوۡمُهُۥۚ قَالَ أَتُحَـٰٓجُّوٓنِّي فِي ٱللَّهِ وَقَدۡ هَدَىٰنِۚ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشۡرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ رَبِّي شَيۡـٔٗاۚ وَسِعَ رَبِّي كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عِلۡمًاۚ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ

80. And his people began to dispute with him in respect of Allah. "He has shown me the Straight Way (159). And I do not fear those that you make as His associates (160), but, if my Lord wills anything (161). My Lord comprehends everything in His knowledge. Then will you not ponder?"

۞وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثۡنَا مِنۡهُمُ ٱثۡنَيۡ عَشَرَ نَقِيبٗاۖ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّي مَعَكُمۡۖ لَئِنۡ أَقَمۡتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيۡتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرۡتُمُوهُمۡ وَأَقۡرَضۡتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمۡ وَلَأُدۡخِلَنَّكُمۡ جَنَّـٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمۡ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

12. And surely Allah took a covenant from the Children of Israel (54), and We raised among them twelve chiefs (55) And Allah said: "Indeed, I am with you. If you establish Prayer (56), pay Zakat (poor-due) and believe in My Messengers and pay them respect (57), and lend to Allah a loan (58), then surely, I will acquit you of your sins (59), and shall surely cause you to enter into the Gardens (60) beneath which flow rivers. Then after that whosoever of you commit infidelity, has certainly strayed from the right path (61).

قَالُواْ يَٰشُعَيۡبُ مَا نَفۡقَهُ كَثِيرٗا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفٗاۖ وَلَوۡلَا رَهۡطُكَ لَرَجَمۡنَٰكَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡنَا بِعَزِيزٖ

91. They said, O Shoaib, we do not understand (185), most of your talks; and no doubt, we see you weak (186), among us. And if there would not have been your tribe, (187), we would have stoned you. And there is no respect for you in our eyes (188)

ذَٰلِكَۖ وَمَن يُعَظِّمۡ شَعَـٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقۡوَى ٱلۡقُلُوبِ

32. The thing is this and who so respects the signs of Allah, and then it is from the piety of hearts (74).

ذَٰلِكَۖ وَمَن يُعَظِّمۡ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيۡرٞ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦۗ وَأُحِلَّتۡ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُ إِلَّا مَا يُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ ٱلرِّجۡسَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَوۡثَٰنِ وَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ قَوۡلَ ٱلزُّورِ

30. The thing is this, and who so respects (68) the sacred things of Allah, then it is good (69) for him with his Lord. And the mute quadrupeds are made lawful to you save those whose prohibition is being rehearsed (70) to you, the filth of the idols and avoid the word that is false (71).

إِنَّمَا يَنۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ قَٰتَلُوكُمۡ فِي ٱلدِّينِ وَأَخۡرَجُوكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمۡ وَظَٰهَرُواْ عَلَىٰٓ إِخۡرَاجِكُمۡ أَن تَوَلَّوۡهُمۡۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُمۡ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

9. Allah only forbids you in respect of those who have fought against you on account of (your) religion (30) and expelled you from your home and backed (others) in your expulsion, that you befriend (31) them. And whoever makes friendship with them, those are the unjust (32).

لَّا يَنۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ فِي ٱلدِّينِ وَلَمۡ يُخۡرِجُوكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمۡ أَن تَبَرُّوهُمۡ وَتُقۡسِطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُقۡسِطِينَ

8.Allah does not forbid you to respect those who have not fought against you on account of (your) religion, and who have not expelled (28) you out of your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly. Undoubtedly, Allah loves (29) those who are just.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ

5.0 mankind! Surely, the promise (16) of Allah is true. Therefore, let not the life (17) of this world deceive you and let not the arch deceiver (18) deceive you, regarding the respect of Allah.
