📖 Tafseer (Commentary) of Surah Al-Ghashiyah (88:21-22)
🔹 Yes, (O Prophet) convey to them (My) guidance, as you are surely a guide.
This verse emphasizes the role of the Prophet ﷺ as the one who reminds, guides, and calls people towards اللَّهُ’s path.
1️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ as a Guide and Teacher
✅ The Prophet ﷺ is the Teacher of Divine Knowledge:
- The world is like a book filled with signs of اللَّهُ.
- The Prophet ﷺ is the one who explains and teaches these signs.
- Without a teacher, a book alone cannot impart knowledge—similarly, the Qur’an is best understood through the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ.
✅ The Prophet ﷺ is the Noor (Light):
- اللَّهُ called the Qur’an a "Book", but the Prophet ﷺ is "Light".
- A book without light cannot be read, but light is beneficial even without a book.
- Many believed in the Prophet ﷺ before the Qur’an was revealed, proving that guidance comes through him.
✅ The Prophet ﷺ is an Admonisher (Muzakkir):
- The word Muzakkir (مذكر) means:
- Reminder of اللَّهُ's existence and attributes.
- Reminder of the Day of Judgment and accountability.
- Reminder of the covenant taken by souls before birth.
- True well-wisher of humanity, guiding towards success in both worlds.
2️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ’s Guidance is Universal
✅ His Guidance is for All Times:
- His message is not limited to any specific era or people.
- He remains a source of light and guidance even today.
✅ His Presence Elevates Everything:
- Through the Prophet ﷺ, Makkah and Madinah became the most honored places.
- All Prophets, Saints, and believers derive their blessings through him.
✅ No One Reaches Faith Without Him:
- The Qur’an was revealed through the Prophet ﷺ, meaning faith is achieved through his teachings.
- Many people believed just by seeing the Prophet ﷺ, even before reading the Qur’an.
