Transliteration:( Zaalika fadlul laahi yu'teehi many-yashaaa; wallaahu zul fadlil 'azeem )
"That is Allah's Grace. He grants it to whom He pleases. And Allah is Lord of immense Bounty."
This verse declares that faith, guidance, and nearness to the Prophet ﷺ are purely from Allah’s Grace.
It is not based on intellect, lineage, or effort alone.
True success is when Allah chooses someone and grants them attachment to His beloved Prophet ﷺ.
According to one interpretation, the Prophet ﷺ himself is the greatest bounty that Allah has granted to creation.
As the Qur’an says elsewhere: "Certainly, Allah conferred a great favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from themselves..." (Surah Aali ‘Imran 3:164)
Fortunate are those who are servants of the Prophet ﷺ, even if they are sinful—they still hold an honourable status by being part of his Ummah.
The poet Maulana Jami beautifully expresses this:
"Being from your Ummah is for me an act of pride, although a sinner. I am very fortunate."
Allah’s mercy is limitless, and His blessings are not restricted by human logic.
He chooses whom He wills to receive faith, love of the Prophet ﷺ, and the light of guidance.
No one can question His distribution, for He is Al-Fadl al-Azeem—the Possessor of immense and unmatched bounty.
