Transliteration:( Wa man azlamu mimma nif taraa 'alal laahil kaziba wa huwa yad'aaa ilal Islaam; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen )
This means the Christians are extremely cruel, because although the Holy Prophet ﷺ is inviting them towards Islam, they are attaching wife and children to Allah Almighty and forging a lie against Him.
Explanation: The Christians, despite being invited to Islam, rejected the true message and ascribed partners to Allah, particularly by attributing a wife and children to Him. This act of forging a lie against Allah by associating divinity with falsehood is deemed the utmost cruelty because they not only denied the truth but also created false beliefs about Allah. The invitation to Islam was an opportunity for them to embrace the oneness of Allah, yet they rejected it in favor of falsehood.
This means He does not give the infidels guidance for doing pious deeds, as Faith is the condition for the acceptance of pious deeds, just as wudhu is a condition for Salaah. Or, anyone who is an eternal infidel is not given guidance to accept faith. Or, on the Day of Judgment, He will not guide the infidel towards the path of Paradise.
Explanation: Faith is the foundation of all righteous deeds. Just as wudhu (ablution) is a condition for the acceptance of Salaah, faith is a necessary condition for the acceptance of good deeds. The verse makes it clear that Allah does not guide the disbelievers to true faith, as they persist in their disbelief and injustice. On the Day of Judgment, Allah will not guide the disbelievers to the path of Paradise, for they have turned away from the truth despite being invited to it.
7. And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allah, while he is being invited to Islam And Allah guides not the people who are wrongdoers. 8. They intend to put out the Light of Allah with their mouths. But Allah will bring His Light to perfection even though the disbelievers hate (it). 9. He it is Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it victorious over all religions even though idolators hate (it).
Allah said,
(And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allah, while he is being invited to Islam) meaning, none is more unjust than he who lies about Allah and calls upon rivals and associates partners with Him, even while he is being invited to Tawhid and sincerely worshipping Him. This is why Allah said,
(And Allah guides not the people who are wrongdoers.) Allah said,
(They intend to put out the Light of Allah with their mouths.) indicating that the disbelievers will try to contradict the truth with falsehood. Their attempts are similar to one’s attempt to extinguish the sun with his mouth, which is impossible. Likewise is the case of their attempt to extinguish truth. So Allah said,
(But Allah will bring His Light to perfection even though the disbelievers hate (it). He it is Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the idolators hate (it).) We explained the meanings of similar Ayat before, in the Tafsir of Surah Bara’ah. All praise and thanks are due to Allah.
(61:7) Who would be more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah[10] the while he is being called to Islam?[11] Allah does not direct such evildoing folk to the Right Way.
10. Who invents a lie against Allah: Declares the Prophet sent by Allah to be a false prophet and regards the revelations of Allah to His Prophet as forged by the Prophet himself.
11. That is, there could be no greater injustice than that besides calling a true Prophet (peace be upon him) a false prophet, one should start hurling abuses on him and employing all sorts of lies and false allegations and slanders to defeat his mission although the Prophet (peace be upon him) is calling him to Allah’s worship and His obedience.
