💰 Commentary of Verse 17 – Surah At-Taghabun (64:17)

"If you lend Allah a good loan, He will double it for you, and forgive you, and Allah is Appreciating, Forbearing."

🤝 The Concept of a Good Loan [42]

Spending in the way of Allah willingly and joyfully is termed a "good loan" (Qarz Hasanah). It signifies giving for the sake of Allah with the confidence that He will reward generously—even more than what was given.

📈 Multiplied Rewards, Not Interest

Allah calls it a "loan" but promises to return much more in reward. Since everything belongs to Allah, this is not truly a loan, but rather a test of generosity and a promise of multiplied blessings.

🌿 Forgiveness Alongside Reward

Not only will Allah double the reward, but He also forgives the giver. This shows Allah’s immense grace—rewarding us for what He gave us in the first place.

🕊️ Allah is Appreciating and Forbearing

Allah values the smallest good done for His sake. Even when we falter, He is Forbearing—He does not punish immediately but allows time for repentance and return.
