    📖 Commentary of Verse 9 (Surah Al-Muzzammil)

    “He is the Lord of the East and the West. There is no deity except Him. So, take Him as your disposer of affairs.”

    ✅ Allah’s Sovereignty Over All Directions [11]

    • Allah (اللَّهُ ) is the Lord of the entire universe, because everything lies between East and West.

    • This verse highlights His complete authority over all creation, every place, and every time.

    🌍 Whether it's the rising of the sun or its setting, everything operates under His divine will.

    ✅ Trust in Allah While Using Means [12]

    • You are instructed to make Allah (اللَّهُ ) your Wakeel (Disposer of affairs), meaning:

      • Use the available means (resources, effort),

      • But place your ultimate trust in Allah (اللَّهُ ).

    ⚖️ This teaches a balanced approach:
    Relying solely on effort is flawed, and ignoring effort in the name of trust is also incorrect.

    📖 For example:

    Jihad was not made obligatory before Hijrah, because at that time there was no means, no environment, and no need for it.

    ✅ So, Tawakkul (trust) does not contradict preparation — both go hand in hand in Islam.

    10. Wakil is a person in whom one has complete faith; so much so that one can entrust all his affairs to him with full satisfaction of the heart. Thus, the verse means: Do not feel distressed at the hardships that you are experiencing at the storm of opposition that has been provoked by your invitation to the faith. Your Lord is He Who is the Owner of the East and the West, (i.e. of the whole universe) besides Whom no one else possesses the powers of Godhead. Entrust your affair to Him and be satisfied that He will fight your case, He will deal with your opponents, and He will look after all your interests well.

    [1782]- i.e., trust in Allāh and rely upon Him.
