Transliteration:( Wallaahu ambatakum minal ardi nabaataa )
26. Man has been compared to vegetation because it is constantly in need of being nurtured. Likewise, man too is dependent at all times on the protection of Allah Almighty. In addition, vegetation is dependent on heavenly assistance as well. Like rain, sunlight, etc. In
the same manner man too is dependent on heavenly help in respect of his deeds in the form of Divine Mercy. Also, vegetation is faced with constant danger i.e. drought, hailstorm, etc. Similarly, man too is constantly faced with dangers.

Please refer to Surah Nuh ayat 5 which provides the complete commentary from verse 5 through 20.
15. Here, the creation of man out of the substances of the earth has been compared to the growth of vegetation. Just as at one time there was no vegetation on the earth, then Allah caused it to grow, so at one time man did not exist, then Allah created him.
