    The Drink of Tasneem – Commentary (Tafseer) of the Verse 83:27

    "And its mixture is with the water of Tasneem."

    The Three Heavenly Drinks

    From this verse, we understand that three types of drinks will be provided in Paradise:

    1. Sharaban Tahoorah – A pure drink, whose canal will flow in every home in Paradise.
    2. Rahiq Makhtoom – A sealed and packed drink in heavenly bottles.
    3. Tasneem – The highest and purest drink, meant only for the chosen ones.
      • It will have a few drops of Rahiq Makhtoom mixed in it, giving it a unique fragrance.
      • Only the most pious will be granted this drink, while the elite servants of Allah will drink Tasneem in its purest form.

    This highlights the gradations of reward in Paradise, where the closer one is to Allah, the greater their blessings will be.

    Ala-Maududi

    (83:27) a wine whose mixture is Tasnim,[11]

    11. Tasneem means height. Thus, Tasnim will be a fountain flowing down from a height.

    (27) And its mixture is of Tasneem,[1885]

    [1885]- The highest spring in Paradise and the most favored drink of its inhabitants.
