    The Vision of the Blessed – Commentary (Tafseer) of the Verse 83:23

    "Who will see on reclining couches."

    The Expansive Vision of the People of Paradise

    This verse describes how the inhabitants of Paradise will witness great sights while reclining in comfort.

    • They will see their immense wealth and blessings.
    • They may also be granted the Beauteous Vision of Allah Almighty, which is the greatest reward.
    • They may see the Holy Prophet ﷺ and the Noble Companions, experiencing the joy of their company.
    • They will also be able to see the punishments of the inmates of Hell, even though Hell is beneath the seven earths while Paradise is above the seven heavens.

    This tells us that the vision and perception of the people of Paradise will be extraordinary.

    Thus, if ordinary believers in Paradise are granted such abilities, it is not difficult to understand that the chosen servants of Allah in this world may also be blessed with spiritual insight and knowledge beyond normal limits.
