Transliteration:( Khafidatur raafi'ah )
"Degrading (some) [4] and exalting (others) [5]."
✅ [4] This means that the Day of Judgement will disgrace the infidels by casting them into Hell. The term "infidels" includes all types — whether they rejected Allah Almighty or His Beloved Prophet ﷺ.
✅ [5] On this day, common believers will receive general honour, while special believers — such as the saints of Allah and noble Islamic scholars — will be granted greater exaltation.
The highest elevation will be revealed for the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
– Those who were arrogant in the world will be disgraced on this day.
– Those who were humble and modest will be raised to greatness.

Please refer to Surah Waqiah ayat 1 which provides the complete commentary from verse 1 through 12.
(56:3) (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down:[2]
2. Literally: That which causes something or somebody to rise and to fall. Its one meaning can be that it will upset every order and it will turn things upside-down. Another meaning can also be that it will exalt the lowly and bring low the high and mighty; that is, on its advent the decision as to who is noble and who is ignoble among the people will be made on quite a different basis. Those who posed as honorable people in the world would become contemptible and those who were considered contemptible would become honorable.
[1608]- According to their deeds rather than wealth and social position, as is the case in this world.
