    📖 Commentary of Verse 34 (Surah Al-Waqi’ah)

    "And raised couches [32]."

    ✅ [32] The word “couches” refers to beds of rest, but not for sleeping, as sleep does not exist in Paradise.
    – These will be luxurious, elevated resting places, placed on grand platforms.
    – Some interpret this as being dignified seats or thrones.

    📌 In another interpretation, "couch" is symbolic of a wife—which connects to the following verses that discuss the companions and spouses in Paradise.
