Transliteration:( Wa annahoo lammaa qaama 'abdul laahi yad'oohu kaadoo yakoonoona 'alaihi libada )
And when the servant of Allah (اللَّهُ ) (Muhammad ﷺ) stood to call upon Him, they almost crowded around him to suffocate him.
✅ Who is the 'Servant of Allah'? [31]
This refers to our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. When he stood in Salah (prayer) or recited Qur'an, the jinns were so drawn to the words of Allah (اللَّهُ ) that they gathered around him with deep interest.
The phrase "they almost crowded around him" shows their eagerness to listen.
Their number was small at first, but increased later.
This may have taken place while the Prophet ﷺ was returning from Nakhla, at a place called Juhon, as mentioned in Tafseer Roohul Mu'ani.
Another view is that this is the jinns’ own statement when narrating their experience to others.
✅ The Power of Zikr (Remembrance of Allah) [32]
This verse teaches us that the remembrance of Allah (اللَّهُ ) carries a special spiritual sweetness.
✅ Just as food nourishes the body, Zikr nourishes the soul.
✅ This spiritual joy is not limited to humans — even jinns and animals can be drawn to it.
