Transliteration:( Illaa manir tadaa mir rasoolin fa innahoo yasluku min baini yadaihi wa min khalfihee rasada )
“Except to His chosen Messenger. Indeed, He appoints a guard to march before him and behind him.”
✅ The Special Status of Chosen Messengers [43]
Although Allah (اللَّهُ ) does not reveal the unseen (ग़ैब) to anyone generally, He does reveal it to His specially chosen messengers.
This special unseen knowledge is not general — it is specific, selected knowledge granted only when Allah wills.
Even though some Awliya (Saints) of Allah (اللَّهُ ) may receive glimpses of the unseen, their knowledge:
Comes only through the medium of the Prophets.
Is limited and inferior in comparison.
The Prophets, especially our beloved नबी ﷺ, receive the highest and clearest form of divine revelation and unseen information.
✅ Angelic Guards for Protection of Revelation [44]
When revelation is being sent to a Prophet, especially unseen matters:
Angels are assigned to guard the process from all directions — in front and behind the messenger.
Chief among these protectors is Jibraeel (Hazrat Jibraeel عليه السلام), the angel of revelation ✨.
❌ This protection is necessary because shayatin (devils) attempt to steal parts of divine communication.
If successful, they pass it to soothsayers and magicians to mislead people.
But Allah (اللَّهُ ) has placed a strict security system to block this.
The tafsir of Surah Jinn verse 27 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Jinn ayat 25 which provides the complete commentary from verse 25 through 28.
(72:27) other than to a Messenger whom He chooses[27] (for the bestowal of any part of the knowledge of the Unseen), whereafter He appoints guards who go before him and behind him,[28]
27. That is, the Messenger (peace be upon him) by himself is no knower of the unseen, but when Allah chooses him to perform the mission of Prophethood, He grants him the knowledge of those of the unseen truths which He is pleased to grant.
28. Guards: Angels, that is, when Allah sends down the knowledge of the unseen realities to the Messenger (peace be upon him) by revelation, He appoints angels on every side to safeguard it so that the knowledge reaches the Messenger in a safe condition, free from any kind of adulteration. This is the same thing which has been expressed in verses 8-9 above, saying: After the appointment of the Messenger (peace be upon him) the jinn found that all the doors to the heavens had been closed, and they noticed that strict security measures had been adopted because of which no room had been left for them to eavesdrop.
