📖 Commentary of Verse 21 (Surah Al-Mulk)

"Or, who is it that will provide for you if He withholds His provision [43]? Nay, they have persisted in arrogance and aversion."

[43] Allah Alone Grants Provision

This verse points out that if Allah were to withhold His provision—such as rain, sunlight, or the sustenance that sustains life—no one else would be able to provide it. It reminds the disbelievers that only Allah controls the vital forces of nature that allow for life, like the rain that nourishes the earth and the sunlight that enables growth. No one, except Allah, can grant these fundamental blessings, and without them, survival would be impossible.

The verse highlights the arrogance and aversion of the disbelievers, who continue to reject the truth despite these obvious signs of Allah’s dominion over all creation.
