Transliteration:( Qul ara'aytum in asbaha maaa'ukum ghawran famai ya'teekum bimaaa'im ma'een )
"Say, 'Have you considered: if your water becomes sunken [59], who will bring you flowing water?'"
This verse highlights the dependence of humans on water, which Allah has placed under their control. The verse challenges the disbelievers by asking what they would do if their water—whether from wells, seas, or even the water in their own bodies (eyes, mouth, stomach)—were to become sunken or dry. It suggests that all of this, which appears to be under human control, is in fact dependent on Allah’s will.
The verse goes beyond just physical water, touching upon spiritual water, such as the love for Allah and His Prophet (PBUH), which is nourished by faith and guidance. If that spiritual connection dries up due to lack of faith or guidance, who can restore it? Only Allah, the true provider, has the power to bring back that water, both physical and spiritual.
The tafsir of Surah Al-Mulk verse 30 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Mulk ayat 28 which provides the complete commentary from verse 28 through 30.
(67:30) Say to them: “Did you even consider: if all the water that you have (in the wells) were to sink down into the depths of the earth, who will produce for you clear, flowing water?”[40]
40. That is, does anyone else another beside Allah have the power to restore these springs of water to you? If none else has this power, and you know well that none has it, then who is worthy of worship: God or your false deities, who do not have the power to restore them? Then ask your own selves as to who is misled and misguided, those who believe in One God or those who believe in many gods.
