📖 Commentary of Verse 8 (Surah Al-Mursalat)

"So (it will be) when stars [7] are made to lose their light." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

✅ [7] The Extinguishing of the Stars' Light

  • This verse describes a cosmic upheaval that will occur at the time of the Day of Judgment. The stars, which are sources of light and guidance in the sky, will lose their light and be rendered ineffective.

  • The reference to stars losing their light emphasizes the utter chaos and disorder that will ensue during the end of the world.

  • This verse aligns with the eventual destruction of natural order, where everything in the universe will be overturned, leading to the establishment of the new world of the Hereafter.

  • The verse is not contradictory to Surah At-Takwir (82:2), where it states that the stars will fall, indicating a complete transformation of the universe.
