Transliteration:( Wa izas samaaa'u furijat )
"And when the sky is split [8]." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)
This verse describes a cosmic transformation where the sky, as we know it, will split open.
The splitting of the sky indicates a dramatic break in the natural order, a sign of the coming calamities and unprecedented events that will unfold at the end of times.
Two explanations are offered for the meaning of "splitting":
A crack in the sky: This interpretation suggests a physical rupture, where the sky, which previously was unbroken, will undergo a significant division.
Opening of the gates of heaven: This interpretation highlights the moment when the heavens will be opened, and the angels will descend, as mentioned in other verses of the Quran.
Among the two, the first explanation—that the sky will be physically split—is often regarded as stronger.

5. When the heaven is rent asunder: when the system and discipline of the heavens under which every star and planet is established and moving in its orbit and everything in the universe is adhering to the bounds set for it, is broken.
