"Of the living and the dead?"
✅ The Earth as a Final Resting Place [21]
Living on Earth: This verse highlights the earth as the dwelling place for all living beings, with humans and other creatures thriving on its surface, benefiting from its resources.
The Dead Below the Earth: The dead, on the other hand, are gathered within the earth, which acts as a final resting place for them. Their bodies are buried within it, and even those whose bodies were not properly buried are still, in a sense, part of the earth.
No Objection to Divine Order: The verse emphasizes that there is no objection or contradiction in this arrangement, as the earth holds both the living and the dead, fulfilling its role as a gathering place.
Related Quranic Verse:
Surah Ya-Sin (36:33): "And a sign for them is the dead land that We gave life to and We brought forth from it grain, so they eat from it." – This verse reflects the idea that the earth contains both life and death, supporting the living while being a resting place for the dead.
