Transliteration:( Wa alladhī awḥaynā ilayka mina al-Kitābi huwa al-ḥaqqu muṣaddiqan limā bayna yadayh; inna Allāha biʿibādihī lakhabīrun Baṣīr )
"And the Book We revealed [89] to you is the Truth confirming [90] the Books before it. Verily, Allah is Aware of His devotees and is Seeing them."
In the phrase "from the Book," the preposition 'from' is narrational, not partitive. This verse also affirms that the knowledge of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is not limited to the Qur'an alone—his blessed sayings (Ahadith) are also Divine Revelation, granted through inspiration (Wahy Ghair Matluw).
This tells us that the Holy Qur'an is the final Book of Allah, as it confirms the previous Books but does not foretell the coming of any new Prophet or Book. All previous scriptures confirmed the ones to follow, but since the Qur'an gives no prophecy of a subsequent Book, it proves the finality of Prophethood.
This directly refutes the false claims of Mirza Ghulam Qadyani, who denied the concept of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat (Finality of Prophethood). The Holy Prophet ﷺ clearly stated:
"After me, thirty great liars will arise, each claiming to be a prophet—although I am the Seal of the Prophets; there is no prophet after me."
31. And what We have revealed to you of the Book, it is the (very) truth confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Verily, Allah is indeed All-Aware and All-Seer of His servants.
And what We have revealed to you — O Muhلammad, of the Book, i.e., the Qur a0n,
(it is the (very) truth confirming that which was (revealed) before it.) means, of the previous books. It confirms them just as they bore witness to the coming of the Qur’an and that it would be sent down from the Lord of the worlds.
(Verily, Allah is indeed All-Aware and All-Seer of His servants.) means, He is All-Aware of them and knows who deserves to receive the blessing which He may give to him and not to others. the Prophets and the Messengers are favored above the rest of mankind, and some of the Prophets were given more than others and given higher status than others. The position given to Muhammad is higher than that of all the others, may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon them all.
(35:31) (O Prophet), the Book We have revealed to you is the Truth, confirming the Books that came before it.[53] Verily Allah is well aware of His servants and sees everything.[54]
53. It means: This Book is not presenting anything new which might be opposed to the teaching brought by the former Prophets, but it is presenting the same eternal truth which all the Prophets have been presenting from the very beginning.
54. The object of mentioning these attributes of Allah here is to arouse the people to the aims and ideals in which their true well being lies, to the principles which alone can afford the right guidance and to the rules and regulations which are precisely in accordance with them. None can know these except Allah, because He alone is aware of the nature of His servants and its demands, and He alone watches over their well-being and affairs. The people do not know their own selves as much as their Creator knows them. Therefore, the truth is that, and can only be that, which He has taught by revelation.
