Transliteration:( Tanzi'un naasa ka annahum a'jaazu nakhlin munqa'ir )
"It used to beat down the men as if they were the trunks of uprooted palm trees."
The people of Aad were known for their great height and strength, as mentioned in the Quran. However, this verse emphasizes that when Divine punishment descends, no amount of power or strength can protect anyone. As Allah says in Surah Al-Burooj (89:8), those with strength are powerless in the face of Allah's will. The mighty are humbled by Allah's punishment.
