Transliteration:( Balis Saa'atu maw'iduhum was Saa'atu adhaa wa amarr )
"No, rather the Hour is their promised [62] time and the Hour is the hardest and bitterest [63]."
This verse emphasizes that the defeat the disbelievers suffered at Badr is not the final or complete punishment for them. Their ultimate punishment will be completed on the Day of Judgement, when they will face Allah’s wrath. This temporal defeat is just a prelude to the severe consequences they will face in the Hereafter.
The Hour, which refers to the Day of Judgement, is described as the hardest and bitterest day for the disbelievers. It will be a day of severe punishment for them. However, for the believers, this day will hold great blessings, as it will be the means to witness the Beauteous Vision of Allah. This contrast between the punishment of the disbelievers and the reward of the believers highlights the severity of the punishment for those who reject faith and the eternal bliss for those who believe.
