Transliteration:( Qul atee'ul laaha wa atee'ur Rasoola fa in tawallaw fa innamaa 'alaihi maa hummila wa 'alaikum maa hummiltum wa in tutee'oohu tahtadoo; wa maa'alar Rasooli illal balaaghul mubeen )
Say, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger [140]." So if you turn away, then upon him is only the duty [141] imposed on him, and upon you is your duty. And if you obey him, you will be rightly guided [142]. The Messenger's duty is only to convey clearly [143].
This verse commands believers to obey both Allah and His Messenger, highlighting the importance of following divine guidance and the Prophet’s teachings.
It explains that if some people turn away from obedience, the Messenger’s responsibility is limited to conveying the message, while the accountability for accepting or rejecting it lies with the individuals.
Those who obey the Messenger will be rightly guided, reinforcing the connection between following the Prophet and receiving true guidance.
The Messenger’s duty is described as only to convey the message clearly, emphasizing that his role is communication, not enforcement or controlling people's choices.
