    📖 Commentary of Surah An-Nur – Verse 5

    “But those who repent thereafter [and] act aright, indeed, then Allah is forgiving, Merciful. [13]”

    ✅ [13] Repentance Restores Dignity

    This verse offers hope and redemption to those who had previously been punished for false accusations or labeled as fasiq (disobedient).

    If such individuals:

    • Sincerely repent,

    • And reform their behavior,

    then Allah’s mercy is open to them. Though their legal punishment remains, they may no longer be considered morally corrupt if their repentance is genuine.

    This reflects the balance of justice and mercy in Islam — while the law must take its course, the door to forgiveness is always open.
