Transliteration:( Allaa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa )
49. Neither in the world, nor in the Hereafter, like the punishment for the crime of the criminal is meted out to another person, thereby freeing the culprit.
Prior to Hazrat Ebrahim (On whom be peace), people would catch a person for the crime committed by another person, e.g. they would kill the brother or son for the murder committed by the brother or father. Hazrat Ebrahim (On whom be peace) declared this as forbidden. For further information on this refer to Tafseer Khazainul Irfaan.

37. From this verse three cardinal principles are derived:
(1) That every person is responsible for himself for what he does.
(2) That the responsibility of one man’s act cannot be transferred to another unless he has a share in the commission of the act.
(3) That even if a person wishes he cannot take on himself the responsibility of another man’s act, nor can the actual culprit be let off on the ground that another person is willing to suffer the punishment on his behalf.
