Transliteration:( Wa lam naku nut'imul miskeen )
“And we did not feed the poor.”
This verse reveals that one of the reasons for their punishment is their failure to provide for the poor and needy. While many infidels may give large sums of money in charity, set up free drinking water stalls, or provide food kitchens, their acts are deemed ineffective in the sight of Allah (اللَّهُ ). The reason is that these actions are not accepted, as they were not accompanied by true faith and sincerity.
It is similar to watering the branches of a tree after the root has been cut off—the branches may still appear to be healthy, but they lack the nourishment necessary for growth. Likewise, charity performed without true belief in Allah (اللَّهُ ) and without seeking His pleasure is ultimately in vain.

34. This shows how grave a sin it is in Islam to see a hungry man and fail to feed him even if one can, for this has been particularly mentioned as one of the causes of going to Hell.
