Transliteration:( Summa qutila kaifa qaddar )
“Then again he accursed how he calculated.”
✅ Twisted Thinking and Regret [16]
— This verse continues to describe Waleed bin Mugheerah, who thought carefully, not to accept the truth, but to oppose it.
— After hearing verses of Surah Hameem Sajdah from the Holy Prophet ﷺ, Waleed initially praised the Qur'an, calling it impressive and unmatched.
— But when the Quraish leaders, especially Abu Jahl, taunted him, accusing him of supporting the Prophet ﷺ for worldly gain, Waleed turned back.
✅ His False Accusations Against the Prophet ﷺ
— Stung by the accusation of greed, Waleed proudly declared his wealth and status, mocking the poor Companions of the Prophet ﷺ.
— Despite knowing the truth of the Prophet ﷺ's character, he accused him of being a magician, because he couldn't label him a liar, poet, or madman.
🔴 Warning in the Verse
— Allah ﷻ condemned his thinking, showing that deep thought used for denial and arrogance leads only to destruction.
— This verse reflects how ego and social pressure led a man who recognized the truth to still reject it publicly.
