Transliteration:( Liyajziyal laahu kulla nafsim maa kasabat; innal laaha saree'ul hisaab )
51. In order that Allah may reward every soul according to what it has earned. Verily, Allah is swift in reckoning [110].
This verse explains the wisdom behind the previous verses describing the punishment of disbelievers:
It is to recompense every soul based on its deeds—whether good or evil.
The phrase "according to what it has earned" indicates:
Absolute justice: No one will be wronged in the least.
Every action—major or minor, public or hidden—will be taken into account.
"Allah is swift in reckoning":
Despite the countless creation present on the Day of Judgement, Allah will complete their accountability swiftly and justly.
As per tafsir:
The entire reckoning will be done in just 3 to 4 hours.
The remaining time of the Day of Qiyamah (which spans 50,000 years by human measure) will focus on:
The search for the intercessor,
The appearance of the Holy Prophet ﷺ at the Maqaam-e-Mahmood (Lofty Station),
The praise and recognition of the Prophet’s ﷺ rank, by creation and Creator alike.
Thus, the true objective of Qiyamah is not merely reckoning, but to manifest the grandeur and honour of Rasoolullah ﷺ, which is central to the Day's significance.
