📖 Commentary of Surah Ar-Ra’d – Verse 23

"Gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter, along with whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their descendants [69], and the angels will enter to them from every gate [70]."

✅ Righteous relatives united in Paradise [69]

  • This verse implies that righteous family members of the pious—their parents, spouses, and descendants—will be elevated to the same rank in Paradise to maintain togetherness, even if their own deeds were of a lower level.

  • This is by the grace and bounty of Allah Almighty.

  • Refer to:
"And We joined them with their offspring." (Surah At-Tur 52:21)

  • It also supports the belief that the blessed family of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, including his wives and pious followers, will reside in Paradise with him.

✅ Angels entering from every gate [70]

  • This describes the honor and service the dwellers of Paradise will receive from the angels.

  • Angels will enter not to receive rewards but to serve and greet the righteous.

  • Some angels will reside permanently in Paradise, while others will come and go, always performing acts of service and honor for the dwellers.

  • Only humans are rewarded with Paradise; angels and jinn do not receive Paradise as a reward.

  • The verse also shows that the homes of the righteous in Paradise will have many doors, indicating openness, constant greetings, and the absence of veils or barriers between angels and the pious.
