Transliteration:( Wa qad makaral lazeena min qablihim falillaahil makru jamee'aa; ya'lamu maa taksibu kullu nafs; wa sa ya'lamul kuffaaru liman 'uqbad daar )
117. Like the Aad, Thamood, etc who had made plans to kill their prophets. In it the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم is being comforted that just as the cruel manner in which your people are dealing with you the people of the previous prophets dealt the same way with them.Â
118. Hence without His wishes no one can cause any harm to anyone. Oh, My Beloved prophet be completely at ease, as they will not cause any harm to you.Â
119. Either they will come to know of it in this world, after seeing Muslim victories, or at the time of death, or after being in the grave or on the Day of Judgement because every coming thing is near.Â
For this reason "He , knows" is being used meaning soon they will know. In the last condition, all the infidels are intended, while on the first condition, only the infidels of Makkah are intended.

42. And verily, those before them did devise plots, but all planning is Allah’s. He knows what every person earns, and the disbelievers will know who gets the good end (final destination).
Allah says,
(And verily, those before them did devise plots,) against their Messengers, they wanted to expel them from their land, but Allah devised plots against the disbelievers and gave the good end to those who fear Him. Allah said in other Ayat,
(And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out; they were plotting and Allah too was plotting; and Allah is the Best of those who plot.) ï´¿8:30ï´¾, and,
(So they plotted a plot, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not. Then see how was the end of their plot! Verily, We destroyed them and their nation, all together.)ï´¿27:50,51ï´¾ Allah said next,
(He knows what every person earns,) meaning, He alone knows all secrets and concealed thoughts and will reckon each person according to his work, (
and the Kafir (disbeliever) will know
or the Kuffar (disbelievers) according to another way of reciting,
(who gets the good end.) who will earn the ultimate and final victory, they or the followers of the Messengers. Indeed, the followers of the Messengers will earn the good end in this life and the Hereafter, all thanks and praise is due to Allah.
61. That is, these people, who are now devising schemes to defeat the message of the truth, do not take a lesson from the sad end of the people who devised similar schemes before them to suppress the voice of the truth by falsehood, fraud and persecution.
