Transliteration:( Wa zaalikum zannukumul lazee zanantum bi-Rabbikum ardaakum fa asbahtum minal khaasireen )
This was your conception, which you formed about your Lord, and it had ruined [60] you. So, now you are among the losers.
This verse refers to the wrong belief the disbelievers held—that Allah did not know their hidden deeds or that He would not hold them accountable.
Such false assumptions gave them the boldness to commit sins without fear.
As a result, they are now among the ruined and condemned, suffering the consequences of their arrogance and misguidance.
This teaches that:
Erroneous beliefs about Allah lead directly to moral corruption and eventual destruction.
The infidels will be punished not just for disbelief, but also for the sins they committed boldly, under false assumptions about Allah’s justice and knowledge.
This verse serves as a clear warning that wrong theology corrupts actions, and corrupt actions bring about ruin—both in this world and in the Hereafter.

(41:23) This thought of yours about your Lord has led to your perdition and you have become among the losers.”[27]
27. Hasan Basri has explained this verse thus: Every man’s attitude and conduct is determined by the thought and conjecture that he has about his God. The conduct of a righteous believer is right because his thought and conjecture about his Lord is right, and the conduct of a disbeliever and a hypocrite and a sinful person is wrong because his thought and conjecture about his Lord is wrong. This same theme has the Prophet (peace be upon him) expressed in a comprehensive and brief Hadith, thus: Your Lord says: I am with the thought and conjecture that My servant holds about Me. (Bukhari, Muslim).
