Transliteration:( Wa min Aayaatiheee annaka taral arda khaashi'atan fa izaaa anzalna 'alaihal maaa'ah tazzat wa rabat; innal lazeee ahyaahaa lamuhiyil mawtaa; innahoo 'alaa kulli shai-in Qadeer )
“And among His Signs is that you see the earth lying worthless [104], but when We send down water in it, it becomes fresh, fertile and productive. Surely, He Who gave life to it, shall certainly give life to the dead. Indeed, He has Power over everything.”
This verse presents a striking example from nature to affirm the resurrection.
You witness the earth in a dry, dead, barren state, with no vegetation or productivity. But when rainwater descends, the same land becomes lush and fertile. This revival is a clear sign of divine power.
Just as Allah gives life to the dead earth, He will bring the dead back to life on the Day of Resurrection.
This comparison is both logical and visible to everyone—it serves as a proof of life after death.
This also carries a spiritual message:
One whose heart and soul do not receive the rain of Prophethood, i.e., divine revelation and guidance, is like the dead land—lifeless, fruitless, and worthless. Such a person’s deeds are not accepted in the court of Allah, just as barren land yields no benefit.
Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful—both over physical resurrection and spiritual revival.

(41:39) And of His Signs is that you see the earth withered, then We send down water upon it, and lo! it quivers and swells. Surely He Who gives life to the dead earth will also give life to the dead.[47] Surely He has power over everything.
