Surah Fussilat Ayat 29 Tafsir (Commentry)

  • Tafseer-e-Naeemi (Ahmad Yaar Khan)
  • Ibn Kathir
  • Ala-Madudi

75.After they are in Hell, they would say this. But because its happening is a certainty. It has been interpreted with the past .

76. Some have said that by these two are meant Qabil and Iblees because it is Qabil who had been the first to commit an unjust murder and iblees is established in infidelity and polytheism. It tells us that these two wretches will be locked up in separate lists and hidden from the rest of the inmates of Hell.

77. Fully trample them and take revenge on them

78 Be disgraced by Our trampling Here, the word lowest denotes being disgraced and wretched

Ibn-Kathir

Ala-Maududi

(41:29) There the unbelievers will say: “Our Lord, show us those that led us astray, both jinn and humans, and we will trample them under our feet so that they are utterly degraded.”[31]

31. That is, in the world these people were at the beck and call of their leaders and religious guides and deceitful devils, but when on the Day of Resurrection they will come to know where their leaders had led them, they will curse them and would wish that they should somehow get hold of them so that they may trample them under their foot.
