Transliteration:( Wa nufikha fis Soor; zaalika yawmul wa'eed )
"And the Trumpet [34] shall be blown. This is the day [35] of the promised punishment."
The blowing of the Trumpet refers to the second blowing, which marks the resurrection when all the dead will be brought back to life. This event is an undeniable reality and a key moment in the Day of Judgment. The mention of the past tense here emphasizes the certainty of this event, even though it will take place in the future.
This day is referred to as the day of promised punishment for the infidels. For them, it is a day when they will face the consequences of their rejection of faith and their wrongdoings.
However, for the obedient servants of Allah, this same day is a day of mercy and reward. It is the day they will be reunited with their Friend (Allah), a day of eternal bliss for those who followed the righteous path.
The verse is primarily addressed to the infidels, reminding them of the reality of the punishment they will face for their disbelief, while also highlighting the mercy and reward that await the believers.
