Quran Quote  :

Quran-25:16 Surah Al-furqan English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

Transliteration:( Lahum feehaa maa yashaaa'oona khaalideen; kaana 'alaa Rabbika wa'dan mas'oolaa )

16. For them is therein all that they desire (28), they will abide therein forever. This is the promise made by your Lord as prayed for (29).

Surah Al-Furqan Ayat 16 Tafsir (Commentry)

  • Tafseer-e-Naeemi (Ahmad Yaar Khan)
  • Ibn Kathir
  • Ala-Madudi

28. From this we leam that inmates of Paradise will not seek forgiveness for their infidel relatives at all. Also, no desire for any evil will enter their hearts, because NAFSE AMMARAH the baser soul, will not be found there.
Therefore, whatever they say will be accepted. Due to this baser soul, people express the desire for evil things in this world, but every desire in Paradise will be expected.

29. This means that Paradise is worth seeking or that Paradise which the believers were seeking in the world. It should be remembered that every promise of Allah Almighty is true. The doubt is whether we are included in that promise or not Speaking to Allah Almighty: "Oh our Lord" give us what You have promised to us through Your Messenger" (S3:V194) is due to this. ie. We are not certain of being included in this promise.

Ibn-Kathir

The tafsir of Surah Furqan verse 16 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Furqan ayat 15 which provides the complete commentary from verse 15 through 16.

(25:16) the Garden wherein whatever they desire will be fulfilled. In it they shall abide for ever. This is a promise whose fulfilment Your Lord has made incumbent on Himself.[23]

23. Literally: It is a promise whose fulfillment can be demanded (from Allah).

Here one may ask the question: How can the promise of the Garden and the threat of the Fire produce any effect on the attitude of a parson who denies resurrection and the existence of Paradise and Hell? In order to understand the wisdom of this method of admonition, one should keep in view that it is meant to appeal to the self-interest of an obdurate person, who does not otherwise listen to such arguments. This is, as if to say: Even if, for the sake of argument, there is no proof of the reality of the life-afterdeath, there is also no proof that such an event will not occur at all, and there is a possibility for both. In the latter case, the believer and the disbeliever both will be in one and the same position, but if there is life in the Hereafter, as the Prophet asserts, then the disbelievers will be doomed to utter ruin. Therefore, such an approach breaks the stubbornness of the disbelievers and proves to be highly effective when the entire scene of resurrection gathering of the people, their accountability and of Hell and Heaven is presented in a vivid manner as if the Prophet (peace be upon him) had himself seen it with his own eyes. For further explanation, see (Surah HaMim As-Sajdah, Ayat 52) note 69 thereof, and (Surah Al-Ahqaf, Ayat 10).
