Transliteration:( Wa qadimnaaa ilaa maa 'amiloo min 'amalin faja'alnaahuhabaaa'an manthooraa )
"And whatever work they had done [46], We have made it like scattered dust [47], visible in the sunlight [48]."
This refers to the deeds of the disbelievers—whether good in appearance or effort. Since they were done without faith, they hold no weight before Allah in the Hereafter.
Their actions will be rendered worthless, like dust scattered in the air—completely lost and uncollectible. This image shows the futility of deeds done without belief and sincerity.
Just as dust appears floating in sunlight, yet cannot be held or gathered, similarly their deeds will have no substance or value on the Day of Judgement. It is a vivid reminder that faith is the foundation of accepted actions.
