    Transliteration:( Wa Yawma ya'adduz zaalimu 'alaa yadaihi yaqoolu yaa laitanit takhaztu ma'ar Rasooli sabeelaa )

    27. And on the Day the wrongdoer will bite his hands, saying, "O, would that I had followed the Messenger" [53]. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

    (27) And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.[1018] (Saheen International Translation)

    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Furqan – Verse 27

    "And on the Day the wrongdoer will bite his hands, saying, 'O, would that I had followed the Messenger' [53]."

    ✅ [53] Regret of the Wrongdoer

    On the Day of Judgement, the wrongdoer—the one who rejected truth—will be so overwhelmed with regret that he will bite his hands in despair. This expression shows the intensity of his remorse.

    He will wish he had followed the Prophet ﷺ, but it will be too late. His sorrow will stem from knowingly turning away from guidance that could have saved him from destruction.

    There is no commentary by Abul Maududi available for this verse.

    [1018]- i.e., followed the Prophet (ﷺ) on a path of guidance.
