Transliteration:( Linuhyiya bihee baldatan maitanw-wa nusqiyahoo mimmaa khalaqnaaa an'aamanw wa anaasiyya katheeraa )
"So that We may thereby give life to a dead city, and give it for drink to Our created many cattle and men [93]."
Allah causes rain to bring life back to barren lands and dead cities, transforming dry, lifeless places into flourishing habitats.
This divine mercy sustains both humans and animals, providing water for drinking and supporting agriculture. It is a clear sign of Allah’s power to revive and nurture life, reminding us of His mercy and control over all creation.
The tafsir of Surah Furqan verse 49 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Furqan ayat 48 which provides the complete commentary from verse 48 through 50.
(25:49) that We may revive through it a dead land and give it for drink to many cattle and human beings from among Our creation.[63]
63. This verse also gives proofs of the doctrine of Tauhid and the Hereafter. Besides, it contains a subtle suggestion that the period of the drought of ignorance has been replaced through Allah’s mercy by the blessed rain of Prophethood, which is showering the life giving knowledge of revelation from which many servants of Allah will certainly benefit, if not all.
