📖 Commentary of Verse 30 (Surah Al-Qari'ah)

"Get hold of him, then put an iron collar [35] on him."

✅ [35] The Iron Collar - A Symbol of Punishment

This verse refers to the punishment of the disbeliever on the Day of Judgement. The iron collar represents the complete subjugation and restraint of the individual, who is now helpless and bound for their wrongdoing. The iron collar is a symbol of disgrace and humiliation, as the person who once had power and arrogance in the world is now physically restrained, unable to escape the consequences of their actions.

The imagery of the collar also suggests the finality of the punishment, showing that the disbeliever’s defiance and pride have led to this inevitable end, where they are bound and humiliated. The collar serves as a physical manifestation of their disobedience and rejection of divine guidance.
