Transliteration:( Summa fee silsilatin zar'uhaa sab'oona ziraa'an faslukooh )
"Then thrust him into a chain, the length of which is seventy [37] cubits, thread him [38]."
This verse describes the punishment of the disbeliever, where they are thrust into a chain of immense length—seventy cubits. The chain is described as being far more punishing than anything earthly, with its length representing the severity of the disbeliever's fate. According to some interpretations, the length of the chain is equivalent to the distance between Makkah and Kufa, emphasizing the vastness of the torment.
The seventy cubits highlight the immensity of the disbeliever's punishment and the physical restraint they will face in Hell, symbolizing both their complete subjugation and inability to escape the consequences of their actions.
The verse continues by explaining that the infidels will be dragged with this chain, representing a state of utter humiliation and complete defeat. The imagery of being chained, dragged, and thrust into Hell paints a picture of total loss of power and humiliation for the disbelievers, who once enjoyed power and arrogance in this world. They are now completely helpless in the face of Allah's divine justice.
