Transliteration:( Wa jaaa'a Firawnu wa man qablahoo wal mu'tafikaatu bil khaati'ah )
"And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the overturned cities committed sins [9]."
In this verse, Allah references Pharaoh, those before him, and the overturned cities (likely referring to the people of Lot and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah). These groups are mentioned together because they all committed grave sins, which led to their destruction. Pharaoh’s tyranny, the immorality of the people of Lot, and the wickedness of previous nations were all marked by rejection of divine guidance and oppression.
The mention of these groups highlights the historical pattern of those who defy Allah’s commands. The commonality among them is that they chose sin over righteousness, and this led to their eventual downfall.

6. The reference is to the towns and settlements of the people of the Prophet Lot (peace upon be him), about which it has been said in (Surah Houd, Ayat 82) and (Surah Al-Hijr, Ayat 74), We turned them upside down.
