    وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمۡ فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ مُضِيّٗا وَلَا يَرۡجِعُونَ

    Transliteration:( Wa law nashaaa'u lamasakhnaahum 'alaa makaanatihim famas-tataa'oo mudiyyanw-wa laa yarji'oon )

    67. If We will, so We would have deformed them in their faces [99], and they would not have been able to go on or return back. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

    (67) And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.[1278] (Saheen International Translation)

    📖 Commentary of Surah Ya-Sin – Verse 67

    "If We will, so We would have deformed them in their faces [99], and they would not have been able to go on or return back."

    ✅ [99] The Power of Divine Metamorphosis

    This verse highlights that Allah has full power to deform people—changing their faces into that of stones, monkeys, pigs, or other forms, just as was done to rebellious disbelievers in earlier nations.

    It is important to note that in such divine metamorphosis, only the physical form (especially the face) changes, while the human soul remains intact.

    This is not to be confused with transmigration of souls (reincarnation) or natural evolution, because such concepts claim the soul itself changes, which is impossible in Islamic belief.

    The transformed person would be unable to move forward or return, illustrating total helplessness—both physically and spiritually.

    56. After depicting the scene of Resurrection, the people are being warned to this effect: The Resurrection may seem yet far off to you, but even if you consider seriously your life in this world of which you are so proud, you will see how helpless you are in the powerful grip of Allah. Your eyes by virtue of whose sight you are carrying out all your obligations in the world can be blinded at one command of Allah. Your legs on whose strength you are showing all this activity can become paralyzed as and when Allah wills. As long as the powers and capabilities granted by Allah continue to function, you remain lost in the arrogance of your self, but as soon as one of them fails to function, you come to understand how helpless you are.

    (67) And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.[1278]

    [1278]- He (subḥānahu wa taʿālā) could have prevented man from taking any action to benefit himself in this world or the Hereafter, yet He did not.
