Transliteration:( Kadaabi Aali Fir'awna wal lazeena min qablihim; kafaroo bi Aayaatil laahi fa akhazahu mul laahu bizunoobihim; innal laaha qawiyyun shadeedul 'iqaab )
"Their case is like that of the people of Pharaoh [122] and those before them. They disbelieved in the signs of Allah, so Allah destroyed them for their sins [123]. Indeed, Allah is Strong and severe in punishment."
From this we learn that followers are also referred to as “family.” Pharaoh, though childless, was held responsible for the cruelty of his police and soldiers, who were collectively called the people of Pharaoh. Based on this meaning, every Companion and follower of the Holy Prophet ﷺ can be seen as part of his spiritual family. The term children or progeny here is so inclusive that it may cover the Prophet’s descendants, his companions, and his true followers.
Allah punished them both in this world and by holding them in torment in the grave and the Hereafter. This verse offers comfort to the Holy Prophet ﷺ, reassuring him not to feel disheartened by the disbelievers' rejection. Such resistance is a repeated pattern throughout prophetic missions.
52. Similar to the behavior of the people of Fir`awn, and of those before them — they rejected the Ayat of Allah, so Allah punished them for their sins. Verily, Allah is All-Strong, severe in punishment.
Allah says, `The behavior of these rebellious disbelievers against what I sent you with, O Muhammad, is similar to the behavior of earlier disbelieving nations. So We behaved with them according to Our Da’b, that is, Our behavior ﴿or custom﴾ and way, as We did with them with what We often do and decide concerning their likes, the denying people of Fir`awn and the earlier nations who rejected the Messengers and disbelieved in Our Ayat,’
(so Allah punished them for their sins.)
Because of their sins, Allah destroyed them
(Verily, Allah is All-Strong, severe in punishment.)
none can resist Him or escape His grasp.
(8:52) Their case is like that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied the signs of Allah and so Allah seized them for their sins. Surely Allah is All-Powerful, Stern in retribution.
