Transliteration:( Wa tilkal amsaalu nadribuhaa linnaasi wa maa ya'qiluhaaa illal 'aalimoon )
"And these examples We set forth for the people [107], but none understand them except those of knowledge."
Allah states that the parables and examples He sets forth in the Qur'an—like the spider's web in the previous verse—are meant for the people, i.e., mankind in general, to ponder and reflect upon. These analogies are meant to illustrate profound spiritual truths using simple, tangible images.
The remark that “none understand them except those of knowledge” emphasizes that true comprehension of these parables is granted to those who possess spiritual insight and sound religious understanding. This does not refer to mere intellectual or academic learning, but rather to the kind of knowledge that leads one to humility, reflection, and faith.
It is also implied in some interpretations that these parables are not directed at the Holy Prophet ﷺ, who already possesses complete divine knowledge and wisdom. Rather, they are addressed to mankind, to guide them out of ignorance through understanding.
Thus, those who possess the right kind of knowledge—grounded in faith, humility, and sincerity—are the ones who benefit from these divine examples.
