Transliteration:( Yawma yaghshaahumul 'azaabu min fawqihim wa min tahti arjulihim wa yaqoolu zooqoo maa kuntum ta'maloon )
"The day when the torment will envelop them from above and from beneath their feet, and it will be said, 'Taste what you used to do.'"
This verse highlights the comprehensive and unavoidable nature of Divine punishment for the disbelievers, encompassing them from above and beneath their feet—meaning they will be fully surrounded by torment.
Sinful Believers vs. Disbelievers:
While sinful believers may experience punishment for their wrongdoings, they will not be completely encompassed by it. Certain parts such as their forehead, heart, and places touched during prostration (Sajda) remain protected. This shows a distinction between the punishment of disbelievers, who are fully enveloped, and that of believers who retain Allah’s mercy.
Minor Children of Disbelievers:
The minor children of disbelievers will not be subjected to Hellfire because they did not commit sins. This underscores Allah’s justice and mercy in judging each soul based on their own deeds.
