📖 Commentary of Surah Ghafir – Verse 33

"The day when you shall flee [85] turning your backs. There shall be none to save [86] you from Allah, and whom Allah leaves to err, there is none to guide him [87]."

✅ [85] Fleeing on the Day of Judgement

This refers either to people rising from their graves and rushing toward the Field of Reckoning, or fleeing after judgment toward Hellfire, trying in vain to escape their fate.
The believing man’s statement shows his deep understanding of the Hereafter, affirming that all will stand accountable before Allah.

✅ [86] No Saviour for Disbelievers

This part confirms that no one can protect or intercede for the disbelievers on the Day of Judgement. However, the believers will have saviours, as intercession will be granted to Prophets and pious servants.
The absence of help is specific to those who rejected faith and denied divine truth.

✅ [87] Misguidance as a Result of Evil Deeds

Those whom Allah leaves to err are those who chose misguidance due to their own evil inclinations.
Just as death is created by Allah, yet He is not called a murderer, similarly, misguidance occurs under His will, but it is due to human defiance and Satan’s influence.

This clarifies that Allah’s justice is absolute: He allows misguidance for those who earn it through arrogance and disbelief, not because He wills oppression.
