Transliteration:( Wa lahum maqaami'u min hadeed )
"And for them are the maces of iron. [45]"
This verse adds another terrifying detail to the punishment of the disbelievers:
They will be struck with maces of iron, emphasizing the severity, pain, and humiliation of Hell’s torment.
It is part of a broader description, which includes:
Clothing made of fire
Boiling water for bathing and drinking
Blows from iron maces
These are specific punishments for the disbelievers—those who knowingly rejected faith.
The commentary also clarifies an important point:
Some sinful believers may enter Hell temporarily, not as a final destination, but for purification, like gold refined in fire.
Eventually, by Allah’s mercy, they will be rescued.
May Allah protect the believers from such torment.
